Opening Scene to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy
In the opening scene to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, it is set in San Diego where you see a large bridge in the opening clip with a helicopter flying towards it with a news channel on it which suggests that the cast of the news channel arrive to there jobs in style. After the helicopter goes over the bridge you see it land in a small street and the main person of the news channel steps out, then through out the rest of the opening scene you see him get ready and tell the viewers what the news is.
Camera Shots and Angles
This camera shot is an establishing shot because it is the first image you get to see, which sets the layout of the opening scene. This camera shot is effective because it gives the viewers the location of where most of the film is going to be set in which can allow people to image the area and what its like.
This camera shot is a close up of the main characters hand which has a ring on it which suggests that the character wants the viewers to focus on the ring. This is effective as it shows that this ring is important to him which suggests why this camera shot is a close up of the ring. This image also suggests that the ring is special to this character because he has it on while presenting the news and also suggests that he has earned this because he has done a really good job.
This camera shot is a medium shot of all of the main characters in the film which suggests that these characters are going to have the most screen time in the film, also this camera shot suggests that they want the viewers to focus on these four characters. This is effective because it shows the audience the main characters which are in the film and who you follow through out it.
